BRIAN DEADY

Brian Deady plays his biggest show to date as part of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival. He has now been signed up by Decca Records/Universal – a huge move for this stunning artist.

His long-awaited second album Non-Fiction met with wide acclaim from the likes of The Sunday Times calling it “Bare-Knuckle and Remarkable” and The Irish Times stating “Ireland has a new soul star in its midst”. This record follows up his acclaimed Interview album. It was with that collection he found huge support at KCRW in Los Angeles.

His first single A Darkness was featured by Nialler9, The Irish Times and on the prestigious UK blog Record of the Day. His next single taken from the new album was Clap Both My Hands. It was previewed by Skream on BBC Radio 1 and featured as the opening theme song for the RTE Sports Awards. It also scored No.1 in the Irish R&B Singles Charts and Top 20 in the overall Album Charts.

He has shared the stage live with De La Soul, Janelle Monae, Candi Staton and Chic, picking up a glowing testimonial from Nile Rodgers along the way. Here is a Cork artist you can believe in and connect with. In a world where authenticity counts for so much, you’ll hear that Brian means and feels every word.

“This second album should set his course directly for stardom” – The Irish Times

Brian Deady plus special guests is a show presented by The Good Room.
