    DICK OATTS ALLSTARS

    Dick Oatts is one of the top names in US jazz and a jazzman of world renown. He was raised in a musical family in Iowa.

    Dick moved to New York City in 1977 and became a member of the Thad Jones Mel Lewis Orchestra. Since then he has recorded and toured with small groups such as Eddie Gomez, Vic Juris, Jerry Bergonzi, Fred Hersch, Terell Stafford, Jon Faddis, Lalo Schiffrin and Ray Mantilla.

    His big band experience includes performances with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Mel Lewis, Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, Lester Bowie, Joe Lovano, Paquito D`Rivera, Tito Puente, Kenny Wheeler, and Gunther Schuller.

    He has accompanied such vocalists as Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, and Milton Nascimento. He has also recorded for pop artists Luther Vandross, James Taylor, and Everything but the Girl.

    He is currently professor and the director of jazz studies at Temple University, Philadelphia. Dick has been artist­in­residence at the Amsterdam Conservatory since 1997.

    BRUCE BARTH

    Jazz pianist and composer Bruce Barth has been sharing his music with listeners the world over for more than two decades, performing on over one hundred recordings and movie soundtracks, including ten as a leader.

    Throughout his professional life, Bruce has had extended collaborations with Tony Bennett, Stanley Turrentine, Terence Blanchard, Terell Stafford, Luciana Souza, Karrin Allyson, Rene Marie and David Sanchez.

    He has performed with James Moody, Phil Woods, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, John Patitucci, and the Mingus Big Band – one of the most popular jazz pianists on the planet.

    MARK HODGSON

    Born in Cumbria into a musical family, Mark played electric bass in funk and fusion bands, but aged eighteen was inspired to take up the double bass after seeing the Oscar Peterson Trio featuring Ray Brown. Mark has played and recorded with a wide range of musicians, from members

    of The Police and The Rolling Stones to Paul McCartney, Jamie Cullum, The London Symphony Orchestra and Matthew Herbert. He has worked with many jazz stars including Cedar Walton, Phil Woods, Randy Brecker, Larry Coryell, Kenny Wheeler and Greg Osby.

    STEPHEN KEOGH

    From Dublin, Stephen played as percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, contemporary music ensembles and many visiting jazz artists including Sonny Fortune, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Jimmy Witherspoon, Pat La Barbera, Louis Stewart and James Moody.

    A move to London, followed by Spain led to tours and recordings with many British and US jazz artists including Stan Tracey, Charles McPherson, Art Farmer, Jason Rebello, Rene Marie, Johnny Griffin, Lee Konitz, Peter King, Brad Mehldau, Mark Turner, Herb Ellis, and Benny Golson.
